IPL offers helpful resources as winter moratorium ends

IPL offers helpful resources as winter moratorium ends

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), has convenient and easy resources available for our customers as winter moratorium ends this Friday, March 15 across Central Indiana.

IPL understands that high bills can be a financial challenge for our customers, especially after colder than average winters, so here are a few resources available to help IPL customers manage costs:

    1. Payment Extensions can be requested online at IPLpower.com or by calling the automated system at 317.261.8222 and selecting option 2 from the main menu.
    2. IPL Ways to Save can help customers manage energy usage and their monthly electric bills. Customers can sign up for a free eScore Home Energy Assessment, and EAP-eligible customers may qualify for additional weatherization assistance. Learn more at IPLpower.com/waystosave.
    3. Custom Due Date is offered for IPL customers who want a due date that best matches their paydays.
    4. Customers with emergency or medical needs should reach out to United Way’s Connect2Help resource by calling 2-1-1.

Additionally, Indiana Housing and Community Development Association (IHCDA), the state agency that provides funding for the Energy Assistance Program (EAP), alerted IPL that nearly all available funds have been allocated for the 2018-19 winter heating season. Customers who depend on payment assistance from IHCDA should reach out to their local EAP provider for further guidance as winter moratorium ends.

Information on all of IPL’s payment and billing options can be found by going to IPLpower.com.
