AES Indiana employees will beautify Washington Park during its 12th Annual AES Indiana Day in the Parks

AES Indiana employees will beautify Washington Park during its 12th Annual AES Indiana Day in the Parks
    Day in the parks hero

Employees and leaders of AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), will spend Thursday, Oct. 20, working to improve, enhance and beautify Washington Park. AES Indiana Day in the Parks is the company’s signature community project and largest volunteer event annually. Volunteers will participate in projects that include landscaping, painting indoor murals, and clean-up projects. AES Indiana people will focus most of their work on painting five murals inside the Family Center. The murals, designed by local artist Kevin West, celebrate Washington Park’s history as once being home to the Indianapolis Zoo.

This event marks the 12th year for the AES Indiana Day in the Parks initiative in partnership with Indy Parks and Recreation and The Parks Alliance of Indianapolis. This is the first of a two-year commitment that AES Indiana has made to invest in and support Washington Park.

“At AES Indiana, we continue to lean in and listen to the needs of the city and our neighbors to strengthen the impact our people are making with valuable service projects like Day in the Parks,” said Tanya Searcy, AES Indiana’s Senior Public Relations Director. “Our people are our power, and on this day, it is truly special to see our people come together to help revitalize parks in the communities in which they live and serve.”
