    INDIANAPOLIS — Employees and leaders of Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) and The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) will spend the day on Wednesday, May 11 working to improve and beautify five Indianapolis parks: Ellenberger, Washington, Virginia Lee O’Brien, Greene and Windsor Village.

    WHERE: Ellenberger Park – 5301 E St. Clair Street, Indianapolis, 46219

    Washington Park - 3130 E. 30th Street, Indianapolis, 46218

    Virginia Lee O’Brien Park – 2300 N Bolton Ave, Indianapolis, 46218

    Greene Park – 1700 N Franklin Rd, Indianapolis, 46239

    Windsor Village Park – 6510 E 25th Street, Indianapolis 46219

    VISUALS: Interview and photo opportunities begin at 9:30 a.m. at Ellenberger Park where employees will be completing a variety of tasks, including tree planting, playground mulching, a mural refresh, painting, fence removal and general cleanup.

    BACKGROUND: IPL Day in the Parks is IPL’s signature community project and largest volunteer event with over 400 employees given the opportunity to enhance local parks in the communities in which they live and serve.
