People Behind Your Power: Cody Flint

The people behind your power are people just like you. We live, work and play in Central Indiana. We have families, pets, hobbies, and quirks. We volunteer and strive to make a difference. We are also a part of a dedicated team focused on powering your essential needs.   

Meet Cody Flint, Manager of the Vegetation Management Department. Cody has been with AES Indiana for nearly 8 years and manages our team of Utility Foresters and Inspectors and our Tree Trimming Contactors.  

Here’s more about Cody:  

• Cody chooses to work at AES Indiana because he enjoys the work and safely managing the interaction between customers’ trees and our hardware. 

• He was born and raised in Plainfield, IN. He went to Purdue University where he studied forestry and received a degree in Interdisciplinary Agricultural. 

• Growing up Cody wanted to be a Park Ranger in a National Park. 

• If he could live anywhere in the world, he would live in New Zealand or Alaska. 

• If he had a superpower, he would want to fly. He loves to travel but dislikes the hassle of an airport. 

• Cody has a 7-year-old son, which is why he’s binging the animated television show Bluey.  

• He volunteers for the Indianapolis Youth Hockey Association and helps coach the U8 hockey program.  

• In addition to working at AES Indiana, Cody uses his tree expertise to serve as a site leader with Saluting Branches, a National Day of Service where tree care professionals volunteer their time and skills to care for trees and landscapes at national cemeteries, in honor of our nation's veterans. 

• His favorite tree is a Bald Cypress because they are adaptable and have great color in the fall. 

• His tip for customers: “Always call for a professional's opinion. We love talking about trees.”
