Shining a light on our community
United Way of Central Indiana
United Way of Central Indiana is dedicated to fighting for the education, financial stability, health and basic needs of every person in our community. AES Indiana provides financial support and people power to support United Way's mission to design, support and grow systems that accelerate financial stability and upward mobility.
People for Urban Progress
AES Indiana partnered with People for Urban Progress (PUP) to upcycle and transform old banners into a signature line of bags. Proceeds will be donated to AES Indiana’s Power of Change utility assistance program to support customers who need help paying their utility bills. PUP's mission to create a smarter, more sustainable, and more resilient Indianapolis by combining good design with existing resources aligns with the work AES Indiana is doing to accelerate cleaner, more efficient and cost-effective energy solutions for its more than 500,000 customers.
A Day in the Parks
AES Indiana's annual day of service is called A Day in the Parks. In 2022, the AES Indiana team was in Washington Park, helping to make the most of the location for all of the community. Watch the video to learn more.
Gleaners Food Bank
Since 1980, Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana has developed programs and formed partnerships designed to lead the fight against hunger in central Indiana. AES Indiana has been a proud supporter of the work Gleaners does. Our people serve on the board and volunteer by sorting food donations and serving our hungry neighbors in need. Dress for Success Indianapolis
AES Indiana knows that every little bit helps. That’s why we joined with Buckingham Companies to upgrade Dress for Success Indianapolis to LEDs. This bright idea will save Dress for Success a significant amount of money on their energy bills, allowing them to reinvest and empower more women in our community by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
