People Behind Your Power: Mike Ervin
The people behind your power are people just like you. We live, work and play in Central Indiana. We have families, pets, hobbies, and quirks. We volunteer and strive to make a difference. We are also a part of a dedicated team focused on powering your essential needs.
Meet Mike Ervin, Crew Member/Line Technician. For the past 22 years, Mike has served as a line technician for AES Indiana. In his early years, he worked in the southwest part of Indianapolis. Now you can find Mike scaling utility poles and making repairs in the northwest side of the city, where he has worked for the past 15 years.
In his role, Mike ensures the safety and reliability of electricity for our community. Every day, Mike faces various challenges, from routine maintenance tasks to emergencies including power outages caused by storms or accidents. As a line technician, Mike works at great heights, often atop utility poles or in bucket trucks, to install, repair, and maintain power lines throughout our service territory.
