AES Indiana to power WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis with renewable energy
July 18, 2025
INDIANAPOLIS – AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) is powering the WNBA All-Star Weekend with renewable energy. AES Indiana has purchased renewable energy credits (RECs) and will apply them toward energy usage at key locations throughout the WNBA All-Star Weekend July 18-19.
These RECs will offset more than an estimated 335,000 kilowatt hours of energy, equivalent to powering about 50 homes’ electricity for one year, that will be used across the host facilities during the WNBA All-Star Weekend:
- Gainbridge Fieldhouse
- Indiana Convention Center
- Indianapolis Marriott Downtown
- Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park
