AES Indiana Releases 2025 Community Impact Report

March 12, 2026

INDIANAPOLIS – AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), is releasing its 2025 Community Impact Report, Energizing Community Together. The report features highlights of the Company’s more than $2 million in investments across Central Indiana. This year, we refreshed our community impact strategy to better reflect our customer and community needs. We’ve invested in areas where AES Indiana can create meaningful outcomes for the community where we live, work and play.

“For more than 100 years, our commitment to customers has meant more than delivering affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy. It has meant being a trusted partner to the people and places that make Central Indiana strong,” said Brandi Davis-Handy, AES Indiana President. “This year, we sharpened our focus by refreshing our community impact strategy to better reflect customer and community needs, investing where AES Indiana can create meaningful, lasting outcomes. At the heart of this work are our AES Indiana people whose board service, volunteerism, and commitment to community partnerships deepen our impact and strengthen the neighborhoods we serve across Central Indiana.”

Highlights from AES Indiana’s 2025 Community Impact Report include:

16 Tech Indy Winter Farmer’s Market

  • For the first time, we served as the title sponsor for Indy’s longest running and only winter farmer’s market. The market helps ensure year-round access to fresh, local food supporting customers in an area in Indianapolis that is a food desert. This partnership also empowers small-owned businesses, demonstrating a tangible investment in community well-being. The Farmer’s Market recently drew 20,000+ attendees in a single season with 50+ local vendors.

Riverside Education Innovation District at Marian University (REID)

  • AES Indiana partnered with the Riverside Education Innovation District (REID) and Marian University to support literacy and expand educational opportunities for children and adults in Indianapolis’ Near Northwest community. Over this 5-year partnership, we aim to improve literacy in the area by 95% by 2030. AES Indiana employees have volunteered to support the program, and the first training was held in early 2026

15th Annual Day in the Parks

  • AES Indiana’s 2025 Day in the Parks was our largest yet, bringing together more than 360 employees, including 140 lineworkers, to complete nearly 1,060 volunteer hours at Garfield Park. This marked the final year of our partnership at Garfield Park, and leaders from the Parks Alliance and Indy Parks noted that the collaboration is helping preserve the city’s oldest park while supporting its ongoing revitalization.
