AES United States announces communications leader

INDIANAPOLIS –The AES Corporation’s (NYSE: AES), United States Strategic Business Unit has named Brandi Davis-Handy Communications Leader, AES United States. AES has 10 businesses in the U.S., including IPL and DPL Inc. Davis-Handy previously served as Director of External Communications for Indianapolis Power & Light Company.
“Brandi is a talented communicator who will align our external and internal communication teams across the country” said Ken Zagzebski, President of AES United States. “While her role expands nationally, her office will reside downtown Indianapolis where she is deeply committed to serving in the community through a number of organizations.”
Davis-Handy brings diverse communications experience to her new role. Prior to her current position, she managed communications efforts in the state of Indiana for the American Cancer Society and led communications efforts for the 500 Festival. She started her career working as a television reporter in North Carolina.
She is also a board member of Dress For Success Indianapolis, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana and Lynx Capital Corporation.
A native of Indianapolis, Davis-Handy received her B.A. degree in Mass Media Arts from Hampton University in Virginia.
