Norman Rockwell window displays return to Monument Circle as part of Circle of Lights festivities

Power the fun through IPL holiday festivities

November 23, 2016

INDIANAPOLIS— Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), celebrates the holiday season with festive window displays, window lights and its iconic lobby tree. The IPL holiday window displays, located in our lobby on Monument Circle, will feature two famous Norman Rockwell scenes. One display is Santa’s workshop, which features Santa checking his naughty and nice list while Rudolph watches close by. The second display shows a grandfather and his grandchildren bringing in the family Christmas tree.

Throughout the month of December, there are other ways visitors to Monument Circle can experience the holiday fun:

  • IPL Window Lights—Bring your camera downtown at night to take photos of IPL’s 10-story downtown headquarters. A holiday tree will shine brightly across the building every night in December. The light display consist of energy-efficient, long-lasting bulbs and is controlled via a computer.
  • IPL Lobby Tree—A beautiful 9-foot-tall holiday tree shines brightly with over 17,000 LED lights in our lobby. It’s the perfect backdrop for those who wish to take pictures from outside of the building.
  • #IPLyuletide Contest—For the third consecutive year, IPL and  the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO) want you take part in the #IPLyuletide contest for a chance to win IPL Yuletide Celebration tickets. The contest runs from Monday, November 21 through Friday, December 2. For contest details and rules, click here.
