Customers who meet income requirements can receive free in-home energy assessments and home upgrades that can help decrease your energy bills and increase your comfort.

 

Home assessments are conducted by CLEAResult, an AES Indiana approved contractor. If you have concerns about a scheduled assessment, or if you want to verify if an assessment call you received is legitimate, please hang up and call 866-908-4915.

 

How it works

  • If your income meets the eligibility requirements listed below, an energy advisor will complete an in-home assessment*, install free energy-efficient products to help you start saving right away, and recommend any additional weatherization improvements for which you may qualify.**

  • If, during the assessment, we identify opportunities for weatherization upgrades,** such as insulation or air sealing, we will connect you with a member of our Quality Contractor Network who will do this work at no cost to you.

  • If your income does not qualify for an in-home assessment, you may still be eligible for a no-cost virtual assessment where you’ll connect with a trained energy advisor who will give you recommendations, energy-savings tips, and send you a customized kit of energy efficient items.     Additional information

    • When you make weatherization upgrades, your home will be better able to stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. These insulation and air sealing improvements also reduce gaps and leaks, which can help fight allergies and dust and make living in your home more comfortable.

    • To receive a smart thermostat, your home must have electric heat or central cooling, a compatible HVAC system and working Wi-Fi. 

    *You may also choose to have a Virtual Home Energy Assessment. Please note, pre-qualification for some free weatherization upgrades may not be available during the virtual assessment.
